The Forest Part 2

This girl's name was Kim. Kim wandered around the forest for what seemed like years. The days and night blurred together. She couldn't seem to find her way back. Pretty soon she felt helpless. She didn't think there was any hope and she gave up. She laid on the forest floor for what seemed like eternity. Her consciousness drifted in and out until one day she heard a baby bird.

The bird had fallen out of it's nest and broken it's wing. Kim's instant response was to help. She took the bird in and cared for it. She would feed it, keep it safe and warm. In no time at all the baby bird could fly again. She knew she had saved the bird but hadn't discovered how much that bird had actually saved her. She thought about the bird for a few days. One night, she was remembering how broken and hopeless it seemed when it fell out of the nest and how now it was off living it's life. She fell asleep thinking this and she woke up with a renewed sense of hope.

She realized that she could do this. Kim set off to find her way out and this time she embraced all the natural abilities God had given her. She seemed to be making some progress, or at least she wasn't walking in circles anymore. She knew she still had a long way to go though. Whenever she noticed that a creature needed some help, some hope, she did the best she could to restore it to its previous state.

Kim had finally found a path that seemed promising. It was a decent day. Slightly warm and occasionally the sun would peek out. While she was walking, she heard something. It sounded like a girl crying. Kim followed the weeping sound and to her surprise found someone. A girl that seemed to be about the same age as her.
