We are all on a journey, one that is significant and unique. We will travel down many paths and some of those paths will cross with another person's. Many of these intersections will be short lived, only a moment of interaction with that person, while others are much more. A few of these paths will come together to form the same road and these people will live their journey together.
This year I was director for Search. I was in charge of the entire weekend. When I think about it, it doesn't seem like it was that much work or really that hard. I had a great time. It was fun and amazing and everything seem to just fit into place. I do remember all the many times I freaked out though. I remember the numerous conversations with Stephanie Brucks about this happening or that happening, what I should or shouldn't do. She was pretty dang helpful. I'm glad I could always call her or Brooke when I was lost. Being great friends with past directors was a blessing.
For the first time in four years, I invited someone to go to Search. Megan went with me this year and we were able to room together. We stayed with a few other girls, Hayley, Brooke, Kayla, Shelby, and the last night Allison. Hayley delighted us with her very random morning wake up sounds...The first morning she scared the living daylights out of me with her "terradactyl" noise. She always has a song to sing when she finally gets herself out of bed and I had never heard either of the one she sung before. All and all the rooming was pretty great.
We had some amazing talks this year. Jake and Krissy's were probably my favorite. It's kinda late though so I'll dicuss those another time
