You know when you discover you can have exactly what you want? It's the best feeling in the world. Today is filled with joyful music and beauty. I'm having trouble focusing on class when I feel like this but I manage to hold it together for about an hour. Live today up =)

Best Night of My Life

If you ever get the chance to go to Frank Turner DO IT. Oh my gosh it was so AMAZING. It was the best show I have ever had the pleasure of attending and I've attended a good amount of concerts. I wasn't extremely impressed with the second act of the night but it was soon forgotten once Frank took the stage. He played many of my favorites, saving the best for last (Photosynthesis). I was honestly afraid he wasn't going to play it. We stuck around after the show and him and I chatted for a bit. He was extremely nice and down to earth. He took many photos with people and gave autographs (I received both). I awesome bought an awesome hoodie (thanks Caitlin for fronting me the cash!). I can't wait to see him again! This fall/winter is filled with amazing concerts of my favorite people. The only down point of the night was that Alex wasn't able to be there. He did see him in Dallas though. Maybe next time we can go together. Thank you Alex for introducing me to Frank =)

Mi Madre

You know that moment when you confess to your mom all the things you've kept secret? And then....you discover she knew the whole time!! This often happens to me with my mom. I mean I know I'm a terrible liar but I like to think I can keep things from her. In reality, she picks up on EVERYTHING. Sometimes is annoying...mostly when I don't want to talk about the subject but at the end of the day I am glad she picks up on these things. She notices things before I do sometimes. This last year has brought us so much closer. I find myself leaving campus early to go to the house before work and it's not JUST to grab some food. I normally stay until the last possible minute so I can talk to her about all the things going on.

The other day we spent the more (it would have been the day if I didn't have work) in bed (with the Eli of course) looking at pintrest. We have planned a bunch of crafts for this winter and we have great christmas ideas. I'm really excited. She also found costumes that she would have dressed me up in if I was living with her when I was a kid.....that was embarrassing just looking at them. She would have had a hell of a time getting me to wear those things. I was very anti-dresses and looking cute. All I wanted to do was play outside. I wish I would have had more years with her and been with her sooner but I know all things happen for a reason and I'm quite content with what we have now.

Omaha

We battled it in Omaha today and before the match even begun it was decided that they forfeited the club match which means according to the West we won 60-0. Basically this means that we didn't have to play a merit table match which is two 40 minute halves. Instead we played three 20 minute halves? thirds? That's neither here nor there. We did actually shut them out though. I believe it was 21-0 but don't quote me on that. I started and played the 1st part of the game. We played everyone that was there which was awesome. Some of the subs won't be getting a whole ton of playing time in merit games. I'm assuming that is why I didn't play the entire game. I should be getting a good amount of game time next week against KU. I am extremely excited about this game. If anyone wants to come support the team the game is at Tower Park in Kansas City. Bring a lawn chair. It is going to be an awesome game.
